ASISC INTER SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION
"Where ideas collided, logic prevailed, and voices inspired change." The ASISC Inter-School Debate Competition was hosted by St. Patrick's Junior College on Monday, 20th July 2026. The prestigious event brought together accomplished young debaters from various schools, providing them with a platform to showcase their eloquence, confidence, critical thinking, and persuasive speaking skills through an engaging exchange of ideas.
The competition was adjudicated by Mrs. Maureen Miranda and Dr. Melva Pope, whose impartial judgement, insightful observations, and constructive feedback enriched the experience for every participant.
Following a series of thought-provoking debates, Teesha Singhal of St. Patrick's Junior College was declared the Best Speaker speaking for the motion in the Senior Category, while *Sara Massey of St. George's School was recognised as the Best Speaker speaking against the motion. In the Junior Category, *Shambhavi Nagayach of St. Conrad's School received the honour of Best Speaker speaking for the motion, whereas *Zain Goyal of St. Peter's School was awarded the title of Best Speaker speaking against the motion.
The event concluded on an inspiring note, celebrating the spirit of healthy competition and the art of persuasive communication. It was a memorable occasion that encouraged students to express their opinions with confidence, respect diverse perspectives, and uphold the true essence of debating.
