SHAKESPEARE'S DAY 2025

On the 24th of April, 2025, the Literary and Dramatics Club of St. Patrick's Junior College proudly celebrated Shakespeare's Day with a one-of-a-kind theatrical tribute titled "Wit of Will: Shakespeare in a Parallel Universe."
Graced by our esteemed guests Ma'am Purnima and Ma'am Sumbul Ali, the event was a powerful homage to the timeless genius of William Shakespeare, whose works continue to breathe new life even centuries later.
The highlight of the celebration was a unique stage production that unfolded in two parts: the
original iconic scenes from Shakespeare's plays, followed by reinvented versions imagined in modern-day, futuristic, and even absurdist universes.
The performances were a delightful mix of wit, emotion, and thought-provoking parallels, leaving the audience amazed at how Shakespeare's themes of love, power, jealousy, and identity remain universally relevant, no matter the time or setting.
In bringing the Bard to a parallel universe, our students not only revived his legacy but also added their own stroke of brilliance to the canvas of theatre. As the curtain fell, one thing became clear -*in every universe, Shakespeare still reigns.
